2006 Barratt The Reserve Pinot Noir

This wine is refined and has been matured for 11 months in French oak.
Medium body, semi translucent with crimson mauve colour with and mauve hue. Lifted nose with spiced cherry top note followed by a hint of game and strawberry jam. The palate has a moderate power wave and good fruit weight. Flavours of strawberry, cherry and spice over a white pepper background. Velvet tannins, excellent length and persistence. Cherry, white pepper and clove aftertaste.
