2005 Yalumba Hand Picked Single Site Habermann Grenache

The Grenache grapes for this wine were grown on the Habermann Vineyard at Bethany in the Barossa Valley. The wine was matured for 18 months in French oak hogsheads.
Semi translucent crimson brick red colour with crimson brick red hue Top note of spice, raspberry and raspberry jam. Joosy palate flavour profile – a little unexpected given the translucency of the colour. Full bodied with generous mouthfeel, layers of white and black pepper overlaying raspberry and ripe plum.
