2005 Wills Domain Semillon

Owner / manager Darren Haunold makes the wines at Wills Domain alongside talented winemaker, Bruce Dukes, who spent a stint at the famous Niebaum Coppola vineyard in the Napa Valley.

This is an excellent example of ripe Semillon.

Bright pale straw colour with pale straw hue. Lifted nose with light tropical fruit top note, followed by ripe melon and confectionary. The palate is dry but not grassy or herbaceous. Flavours of dry hay, confectionary, tropical fruit and honey. Generous palate weight. Clean finish, with a hint of anise on the back palate. Aftertaste of tropical fruit, melon and confectionary.
