Traditionally, Grenache in Australia has been a 'growers' wine, since with irrigation and a warm climate it produces high yields which translates into big dollars. Until the 1960’s, it was the basis of Australian port, and was also blended into wines labelled as 'Claret.' Today, winemakers have mastered the varieties potential to create vibrant, full flavoured reds.

Outstanding black mauve colour with deep purple mauve hue. Impressive, lifted nose of violets, spice, black pepper, liquorice and ripe raspberry. The palate flavour profile is quite 'joosy', with generous layers of very ripe raspberry and liquorice revealing strong primary fruit flavours. Soft tannins. Long aftertaste of raspberry, liquorice and vanilla.
Cellar 2-3 years (2008-2009)
Alc/Vol: 14.5%
