A delightful Cabernet.

Opaque black crimson colour with deep crimson hue. Superb lifted nose of ripe Cabernet. Cassis, chocolate, vanilla bean and blackcurrant aromas deliver a delightful sniff of Cabernet as it should be (without any green character). The palate has weight and again plenty of ripe Cabernet flavour – layers of liquorice allsorts, blackcurrant and vanilla fill the mouth. Perfect balance. Aftertaste of blackcurrant, chocolate and vanilla.

Other Reviews…
Rich, almost velvety, with blackcurrant to the fore backed by touches of licorice and the French oak in which it spent 20 months; delicious and luscious. To 2022

James Halliday – Australian Wine Companion 2008

The 2005 Cabernet Sauvignon boasts a deeper color as well as more nuances than the 2004, purer fruit, and sweeter tannin. It should drink well for a decade.
