This Pinot Noir will surprise many – particularly by its total opacity and sour cherry flavour profile. It is interesting to note that the 2005 Winchelsea Pinot Noir has many of the same qualities, which leads us to ask is the Western part of Victoria developing a new and different Pinot Noir style to the rest of the country or is it simply a product of year.

Opaque black crimson colour with black crimson hue. Outstanding colour and density. Superb, perfumed nose of violet, spice, strawberry jam and sour cherries which are quite dominant. On the palate the spice, black and sour cherry flavours are dominant. Very good length, with excellent balance. Very long aftertaste of sour morello cherry, spice and liquorice.
Cellar 4-5 years (2010-2011)
Alc/Vol: 14.6%
