2005 Shelmerdine Cabernet Sauvignon

Bright crimson colour with crimson hue. Medium body. Top notes of blackcurrant and cassis followed by a perfumed violet sniff. The palate is quite tight, with flavours of spice and stewed fruit. Fine dry chalky tannins, with tea leaf evident in the background. Light aftertaste of tea leaf with warm spicy characteristics persisting.
