Many older wine lovers in Australia will fondly remember Doug Seabrook and the magnificent wines he championed in the 1970’s. The family’s connection with wine dates back to 1878 and today 5th generation Seabrook family member, Hamish, has decided to resurrect the name and old label. His debut Shiraz comes from the Pyrenees district and is a worthy entrant into a highly competitive market. Very deep black crimson colour with black crimson hue. Top notes of spice, liquorice allsorts, plum and vanilla, this wine displays a strong varietal lift. The palate has impressive weight, with flavours of black pepper, plum and vanilla. Fine grained tannins, tight but balanced. Very long aftertaste of vanilla, plum and spice, with the spiciness persisting.
Cellar 5-8 years (2012-2015)
Alc/Vol: 14%
