2005 Red Edge Degree Shiraz
This blend contains 12% Mourvedre and a small percentage of Riesling. Very deep crimson colour with deep crimson hue. Aroma of spice, blackberry and plum, followed by black pepper and fresh liquorice, with just a touch of white pepper as an end note. The palate is quite ‘joosy’, with flavours of liquorice and spice evident. Soft tannins. Aftertaste of liquorice and spice. A well made, soft, early drinking red.

First Tasted, December 2006: Deep crimson colour with crimson hue. Aroma of spice and plum, followed by stewed fruit and cherry, delivering a good varietal lift. Ripe fruit flavours fill the palate, liquorice, plum and cherry supported by fine grained soft tannins. Aftertaste of liquorice, plum and spice.
