2005 Oakridge Cabernet Sauvignon

Deep crimson colour with crimson hue – holding its colour well. Medium body. Perfumed nose of truffle, spice, cassis and cedar, delivering a classic Cabernet sniff. The palate displays flavours of truffle, spice, cedar and blackcurrant, followed by fine dryish but balanced tannins. An elegant style, showing good length. Aftertaste of truffle and cedar.

Medium body, bright crimson colour with crimson mauve hue. Perfumed top note of cassis, violet and blackcurrant, showing distinctive cool climate varietal character. There is a sense of elegance on the palate, which is relatively tightly knit. Fine slightly chalky tannins. Aftertaste of blackcurrant and spice with fine dry tannins persisting.
