2005 Murdock The Merger Cabernet Sauvignon Shiraz

The wine is composed of 60% Coonawarra Cabernet and 40% Barossa Shiraz. Outstanding colour. Opaque black purple colour with purple hue, showing good cling to the glass. Lifted nose of cassis and blackcurrant followed by spice – delivering a ripe fruit sniff. The palate is dominated by the Cabernet component, showing plenty of ripe blackcurrant and cassis flavours, with no sign of any green characteristics. Fine grained tannins, excellent balance, with long spice and blackcurrant aftertaste.
