Very deep black purple colour with black purple hue. The nose is impressive with lifted top note of blackcurrant, followed by violet and liquorice allsorts with just a hint of truffle and earth. The palate has excellent weight showing considerable refinement. Flavours of cedar, blackcurrant and spice emerge, however, the power is missing. Fine grained tannins with spicy back palate and aftertaste.

A classic, pure, autocratic portrayal of cabernet, opening with a degree of reticence but revealing more and more along the length of the palate, gaining in velocity near the finish and into the aftertaste.
