The base wine was matured in oak in order to give this Sparkling Red more complexity. Youthful, mauve purple mousse with excellent hold. Fine bead showing very good persistence. The base wine is deep crimson with aromas of plum, spice, liquorice and leather emerging. Creamy palate structure with good ripe, plummy fruit flavours over a spicy background. Clean finish. Aftertaste of plum and spice.
