This is Kilikanoon’s flagship offering from the Clare Valley and has consistently received outstanding reviews from Robert Parker. Sourced from 40 year old vines on the Mort’s Block vineyard the wine was matured in a combination new and one year old French oak hogsheads for 24 months.

An outstanding Clare Shiraz!

Totally opaque with paint like cling to the glass. Superb nose – perfumed and just a delight to sniff. Top note of violets, followed by spice, plum, blackberry and vanilla. The palate is totally mouthfilling with voluptuous texture – ripe plum, liquorice, vanilla and spice flavours fill the palate. Fine grained tannins, perfect balance. Layers of flavour emerge on the palate with black pepper, vanilla, liquorice, plum and spice filling every corner and persisting well into the aftertaste.
Cellar 4-5 years (2011-2012)
Alc/Vol: 15%

Other Reviews...
The 2005 Shiraz “Oracle” was aged in 100% French oak, 50% new. Purple-colored, it exhibits aromas of cedar, damp earth, mint, blueberry, and blackberry. Made in a focused, racy, elegant style, it has luscious flavors, excellent balance, and a long, pure finish. It has several years of aging potential but can be enjoyed now and over the next 15 years.
