2005 Journeys End Vineyards Arrival Shiraz

The fruit for Arrival is grown on eight different terroirs, each terroir selected for its ability to consistently produce a concentrated wine with classic McLaren Vale ‘joosy’ quality. Five different clones of Shiraz are used to produce this wine with maturation taking place in new French oak barriques.

Very deep black crimson colour with deep crimson hue. Superb lifted nose of violet, confectionary, liquorice allsorts, blackberry and black pepper. The palate shows impressive complexity, with flavours of violet infusions, confectionary, plum and liquorice, over a vanilla background. Velvet tannins with exceptionally long aftertaste of plum, vanilla, violet and confectionary. This is a mouthfilling powerful wine that will be a joy to serve in Christmas’ of the future. A must for the cellar.
