2005 Jim Barry The Benbournie Cabernet Sauvignon

Totally opaque black dark red colour with deep very dark red hue. The nose reveals an intense and intriguing mix of aromas with dark ripe blackcurrant, liquorice and choc mint to the fore with underlying cedar and spice. Dark and rich the palate possesses a core of ripe blackcurrant and choc mint flavours which are dominate over some earth and spice nuances. Excellent depth and power with a framework of solidly built fine grained tannins providing the structural support. Long aftertaste of ripe dark blackcurrant, choc mint, cedar and spice.
