2005 Infrequent Flyers Allt-A-Bhainne Single Cask No.69290 14 Year Old Cask Strength Single Malt Scotch Whisky (700ml)

Rarely seen as either an original bottling or as an indie, Allt-A-Bhainne is a very young distillery (established in 1975), serving primarily to supply whisky for the Chivas Regal blends. Not surprisingly maximum efficiency has been key to its success. Despite its significant output, it's designed to be run by a single person. The house style is usually light and fresh, with sweet floral and perfume notes on the nose. This one was matured in ex-Bourbon wood, before being finished in a refill Sherry puncheon. 59.9% Alc./Vol. Non chill filtered.

Notes from the bottler... Colour - Burnt amber. Nose - Fruity and floral, with hints of almonds and sweet popcorn, and nutty undertones. Taste - Lots of depth. Honey and caramel, nutty, with cereal notes - crunchy nut cornflakes. Cookies and cream. Finish - Mid-length, creamy, with a spicy finale.
