2005 Heggies Vineyard Chardonnay

An excellent Chardonnay grown in a close planted vineyard with Bernard clones.

The wine has been fermented on wild yeast and then matured for 9 months in French Oak. Bright straw colour with a green tinge. Aroma of fig, spice melon and hazelnut, followed by a biscuit end note. The palate is very spicy with flavours of fig, yeast lees, melon and cashew emerging. Creamy texture with very spicy back palate. Very long aftertaste of yeast lees, biscuit and cashew.
Cellar 3-4 years (2009-2010)
