2005 Handpicked Coonawarra Cabernet Sauvignon

This wine has been made by Coonawarra stalwart Peter Douglas. Deep crimson brick red colour with crimson brick red hue. The nose displays good complexity with aromas of blackcurrant, cedar, tobacco and cigar box followed by some leather notes – showing signs of development. Medium to full bodied with flavours of tobacco, blackcurrant and cedar with a very spicy back palate. The wine is beginning to dry out and needs to be drunk sooner rather than later. Fine grained tannins with aftertaste of spice, cedar and leather.
