2005 Dog Ridge Vineyard Reserve Petit Verdot

The Dog Ridge vineyard was established in 2001 on a severely neglected elevated site over looking McLaren Vale. The property management is focused on sustainability and includes minimising the impact that the vineyard and winery have on the environment.

A magnificent example of Petit Verdot! Totally opaque black purple colour which stains the walls of the glass like paint. Top note of liquorice, ripe blackberry and spice providing a perfumed lift. The palate is mouthfilling, explosive flavours of black pepper, liquorice and black cherry. Excellent weight and balance. Very long aftertaste of blackberry, liquorice and spice.
