A magnificent example of Sauvignon Blanc The name of this wine has many winelovers perplexed. Its origins date back from the earliest European settlement of Marlborough, where sheep were first introduced to the district. There were few fences and the sheep were rounded up by the 'boundary keeping dogs'. The story goes that some of these boundary dogs turned feral and inhabited a hill which became known as 'Dog Point'. Bright pale straw colour. Superb lifted nose of ripe gooseberry and ripe passionfruit, followed by a tropical fruit end note. Perfectly integrated palate showing superb fruit balance. Layers of ripe passionfruit are followed by spice and perfectly ripe gooseberries. Creamy mouthfeel, with velvet like texture. Outstanding length, exceptionally long aftertaste of ripe gooseberries and spice. Limited StocksCellar 3-5 years (2008-2010) Alc/Vol: 13.0%
