2005 De Bortoli Windy Peak Sangiovese

Bright crimson colour with crimson hue. Medium body. Top note of cherry, followed by raspberry and spice. The palate is relatively tight, with cherry and stewed fruit flavours. Fine dry tannins. Cherry and stewed fruit aftertaste.

First Tasted, October 2006: Medium body. Bright crimson colour with crimson mauve hue. Aroma of spice and cherry followed by a hint of plum and leather. The palate is on the dry side, with flavours of spice, plum and stewed fruit supported by fine dry tannins. Aftertaste of stewed fruit and spice.
