Other Reviews….
The most backward, structured, tannic, and ageworthy of these offerings is always the Grenache Romas. The estate’s flagship Grenache, it is fashioned from 86-year-old vines planted on ironstone soils at the highest elevation of the Blewitt Springs Vineyard. Structured, meaty, powerful, smoky, and deep is the 2005 Grenache Romas. Always the most backward of these cuvees, it offers copious amounts of black raspberries, a rich, full-bodied, powerful palate, and crisp acidity. Forget about it for another few years, and enjoy it over the following 12-15.
