Very deep crimson colour with deep crimson mauve hue. The nose is quite perfumed, with violet, spice top note, followed by ripe raspberry and cherry. The palate structure is quite tight, but the white pepper flavour component is very pronounced, with cherry and raspberry in the background. Fine grained dryish tannins, which run through to the aftertaste.

Other Reviews…
The 2005 Grenache Clarendon Hills exhibits lovely, vibrant aromatics of kirsch, berries, earth, spice, and flowers. Full-bodied and gorgeously rich, it is easy to drink now, but only hints at its ultimate potential, and should evolve for at least a decade.
