2005 Clarendon Hills Brookman Vineyard Merlot

Opaque black crimson colour with deep brick red hue. Top note of mulberry and truffle, followed by spice, violets and a hint of chocolate. The palate is not as full bodied as the straight Cabernet, but remains elegant, with flavours of spice, mulberry and white pepper evident supported by fine grained tannins.
Cellar 3-4 years (2010-2011)

The deep ruby/purple-tinged 2005 Merlot Brookman Vineyard possesses serious richness as well as lovely fruit and texture, and a seductive, earthy style displaying hints of bay and tobacco leaves. It will be drinkable during its first 7-8 years of life.
