2005 Bordeaux has received widespread critical acclaim as one of the greatest vintages in living memory and this has not been restricted to just the classified growths . Many of the lesser known terroirs or appellations have excelled in 2005, Robert Parker stating “…these are some of the finest wine bargains of the world…”

Parker describes the wines from such Estates as 'Little Big Ones', adding 'These wines represent many earnest, sincere, over-achieving men and women who are taking unheralded, less prestigious terroirs and turning out brilliant wines...If you are a wine consumer, this is where to spend your money'.

This wine is made from a blend of 40% Merlot, 40% Cabernet Franc and 20% Cabernet Sauvignon. Bright crimson colour with mauve hue. Medium body. Top note of blackcurrant, raspberry, cedar and spice, with a hint of liquorice as an end note. The palate displays good weight with flavours of cherry, raspberry, truffle and spice. Fine grained dry tannins. Long aftertaste of raspberry, truffle and spice.
