2005 Catching Thieves Cabernet Merlot

Bright crimson mauve colour with mauve crimson hue. Medium body. Classic Cabernet nose of blackcurrant, cedar and mulberry showing ripe Cabernet fruit aromas. The palate flavour profile is drier than expected, with dry, slightly dusty flavours over a background of cedar and blackcurrant. Some hint of tea leaf evident. Dry chalky tannins persist.
