Hiraji’s Spell is the name of a race horse that won the Melbourne Cup in the 1940’s. The paddock that this famous race horse grazed in is now a small vineyard. Medium body. Deep black purple colour with deep purple hue. Aroma of liquorice, smoky oak, vanilla, spice and black pepper. The palate is lighter than expected, displaying smoky plum and ink flavours. Dry tannin. Smoky tar and ink aftertaste.
