2005 Arakoon Sellicks Beach Shiraz
A big red which needs time to evolve. Opaque black crimson colour with black crimson hue. Aroma of plum and spice, followed by vanilla and liquorice end notes, showing ripe Shiraz fruit. On the palate, flavours of ripe plum, spice and vanilla are evident. Fine dryish tannins which run through to the aftertaste. After flavours of spice, vanilla and liquorice.

Other Reviews…
First tasted soon after bottling, it has evolved splendidly over the ensuing six months — note, notwithstanding its screwcap. Still deep red-purple, it is a plush, velvety, richly textured wine with multi-flavoured black fruits, a wrapping of regional dark chocolate adding to the strong sense of place the wine exudes.
