Islay, SCOTLAND
$199. 00
Bottle
$2388.00 Dozen
ABV: 59.8%
A robust and brawny Bunnah’.

Located on the north of Islay with Caol Ila as its only neighbour, this low-to-unpeated style has gained a reputation as the most gentle single malt produced on an island otherwise famed for its massively flavoured whiskies. The majority of Bunnahabhain comes out of x Bourbon barrels, so this is a novelty - and of interest for being on the younger side.

Tasting note: Matured in a sherry cask. Kind of like the official equivalent on the nose, only more intense and peppered with suggestions of oatmeal biscuits, walnut fudge and extra aeration accenting a latent fruitiness. Tastes moderately sherried – some moist fruit cake through the gingery barley. Almost juicy to finish. More ginger bread and vanilla through the warming aftertaste. A robust and brawny Bunnah’. 59.8% Alc./Vol. 199 bottles. Non chill filtered.
