2004 Yalumba Y Series Cabernet Sauvignon

An outstanding entry wine and testament to the quality of the 2004 vintage. Outstanding vibrant purple colour with purple hue. The nose is surprising as it does not reveal any of that mischievous ‘tea leaf’ character that plagues so many Cabernets – at all price points. Aroma of blackcurrant and spice, followed by liquorice allsorts. The palate has excellent weight with ripe blackcurrant and liquorice flavours. Fine dry tannins, perfect balance. Long aftertaste of spice and liquorice.
