2004 Yalumba Oxford Landing Merlot

This wine is already showing bottle development. Medium body. Crimson brick red colour. Aroma of stewed fruit, cedar and plums.  The palate flavour profile is simple with stewed fruit and cedar evident. Fine dry tannins. Stewed fruit, cedar aftertaste.

First tasted, March

 2006:
Brick red colour with brick red hue. Medium body. Aroma of plum and blackcurrant followed by stewed fruit. The palate flavour profile is light and very dry. The flavours are short, with a slight medicinal quality evident. Aftertaste of stewed plum and sour cherry.
