2004 Warrabilla Reserve Cabernet Sauvignon

This is a ‘weightlifter of a Cabernet.’ The fruit flavour profile is super ripe, yet avoids being porty. On the other hand it is no Bordeaux, being much more alcoholic at 15.5% and again there is no ‘hot alcohol sensation evident. Totally opaque black purple colour with deep black crimson hue. Perfumed nose of spice and ripe blackcurrant. Mouthfilling palate with monumental structure – a Cabernet with ‘muscle.’ Flavours of ripe blackcurrant, spice and dark chocolate fill the palate. Excellent tannin balance. Very long aftertaste of spice and dark chocolate.
