The Old Block Shiraz is produced from low yielding vines, 60-100 years of age. Fruit is sourced from two sites - a warmer site in the Barossa Valley which gives the wine its voluptuous character, whilst fruit from the Eden Valley vineyard contributes texture and structure. Blending the two components together makes for an elegant, seamless and superbly balanced drinking experience.

A superb Old Vine Shiraz.

Opaque black purple colour with black purple hue, with strong cling to the glass. Perfumed nose – a great sniffing experience. Vanilla, confectionary, violets, black cherry and spice. Generous palate flavours supported by velvet smooth tannins. Flavours of black cherry, spice and vanilla are followed by confectionary, blackberry and black pepper – overlaid with vanilla and violet back palate infusions which continue well into the aftertaste.
Cellar 4-5 years (2011-2012)
