This Mamre Brook Cabernet made by Nigel Dolan over delivers on flavour. Matured for 16 months in French and American oak, the wine is totally black, with opaque black crimson colour and black crimson hue with impressive cling to the glass walls. Lifted nose, with aromas of liquorice, spice, liquorice allsorts and blackcurrant. Dry, full flavoured ripe Cabernet palate with flavours of blackcurrant, dark chocolate, spice and vanilla, filling the mouth, supported by fine, but dry tannins. Perfect balance. Long aftertaste of vanilla, spice and dark chocolate.
