2004 Rust En Vrede Estate Blend Cabernet Sauvignon Shiraz Merlot

A magnificent red that’s ageing very gracefully and still has plenty of life left ahead of it.
This red is a blend of 58% Cabernet Sauvignon, 29% Shiraz and 13% Merlot. Opaque black dark red colour with very deep dark red hue. The nose is very perfumed with lifted aromas of violets, blackcurrant, cedar, blackberry, earth and spice. The palate boasts superb concentration with mouthfilling flavours of ripe blackcurrant, dark plum and mulberry followed by spice, earth and a hint of cigar box all seamlessly integrated. Velvet smooth tannins displaying outstanding length with very long aftertaste of ripe blackcurrant, spice and earthy cedar.
Cellar 5-6 years (2015-2016).
