2004 Rockfield Estate Cabernet Merlot

A tired red! Medium body, tawny brown to brick red colour – showing considerable development. Aroma of cedar, leather and earth followed by stewed fruit – again showing its age. The palate summarises the lot, with old age showing dramatically - cedar, leather and earth flavours with dry tannins. The fruit of youth has long gone. Aftertaste of cedar and leather with dry tannins persisting.
