2004 Rimu Grove Pinot Noir

An outstanding example of Pinot Noir produced from 7 different clones and barrel matured for 11 months in French oak, of which 35% was new. Semi translucent crimson colour with crimson hue. Lifted nose of spice, stewed fruit, cherry, cassis and violet, showing good varietal character. The palate displays flavours of ripe cherry, spice, ripe raspberry and strawberry. Fine grained tannins, perfectly balanced. Aftertaste of ripe cherry and strawberry.
