Translucent brick red colour, already showing bottle age. The nose is subdued – in fact hardly discernable. Light, leather top note, followed by subtle cherry. Light palate flavours, hint of faded leather. Dryish tannins.

Retasted, December 2006: Semi translucent, crimson colour with crimson brick red hue. Medium body. Aroma of cherry and spice, followed by a hint of sour cherry and strawberry jam. The palate flavours are light – with sour cherry and light strawberry evident. Fine dry tannins Aftertaste of sour cherry and spice.

First Tasted, August 2006: A light, commercial red. Semi-translucent brick red colour with brick red hue. Light nose of spice, stewed plum and cherry. The palate flavour profile is light, with flavours of stewed cherry and spice. Soft tannins.
