This is a soft ‘joosy’ red from Peter Dredge. The wine is composed of 12% Mourvedre and 3% Riesling, with the majority being Shiraz. Opaque black crimson colour with deep black mauve purple hue. Aroma of liquorice, blackberry and vanilla overlaid with a floral lift. Velvet tannins support fruit flavours of liquorice, spice, blackberry and vanilla. Good length with spicy black pepper back palate. Aftertaste of liquorice and blackberry.
Cellar 2-3 years (2007-2008)
Alc/Vol: 14.5%

Other Reviews...
Spotlessly clean bouquet; an elegant, medium-bodied wine; spicy black fruits with flavour complexity which is hard to pin down until you find there is 12% Mourvedre and 3% Riesling in this most interesting blend.

Other Reviews...
An old oak-aged blend of 85% Shiraz, 12% Mourvedre, and 3% Riesling, the 2004 Degree reveals uplifting aromatics of blue and black fruits, pepper, incense, and subtle Provencal herbs. Deep, chewy, meaty, and singular in quality, it should drink well for 4-5 years.
