2004 R.L. Buller & Son Valerie Merlot

Opaque black crimson colour with deep crimson hue. Liquorice top note, followed by a hint of mocha, chicory and tar. Warm generous palate, mouthfilling, with flavours of plum and liquorice, followed by a chocolate and spice back palate. Some porty characters emerge. Soft acid finish, with aftertaste of ripe plum, stewed fruit and liquorice.
