5% Viognier has been co-fermented with Shiraz.  This is an impressive red, delivering the generous ripe fruit flavour that have become the norm from Water Wheel.

Totally opaque black purple colour showing outstanding saturation and glass cling.  Superb, lifted nose of spice and blackberry followed by a hint of dried apricot and liquorice.  The palate is as expected – mouthfilling, generous and filled with flavours of ripe blackberry and fresh liquorice.  Joosy texture.  Very long flavour profile, followed by very long aftertaste of liquorice, blackberry and spice.
Cellar 3-4 years (2009-2010)
Alc/Vol: 14.5%

Other Reviews...
Dense colour; riper, more dense and more complex aromas and flavours than the Shriaz; bordering viscous, with the apricot nuances of Viognier running along with multi-spice and licorice notes.
