This is a very big Shiraz, challenging the weight and depth that Rutherglen’s Warrabilla delivers. Totally opaque black crimson colour with black purple hue. The nose delivers a powerful Shiraz sniff – top note of blackberry, followed by black pepper, spice and vanilla. The palate is a fruit bomb – with great weight, but restrained complexity. Flavours of spice, black pepper, plum, liquorice and confectionary emerge – with black pepper persisting. Fine grained dry tannins, excellent balance – very long aftertaste of spice, blackcurrant and plum.
Cellar 3-4 years (2010-2011)
Alc/Vol: 16%
