2004 Paringa Estate Reserve Shiraz

Opaque black crimson colour with black purple hue. Aroma of spice, liquorice and vanilla followed by blackberry and violet end notes. The palate structure is very tight for Shiraz, however, one must recall that this is a cool climate red and the voluptuous qualities of McLaren Vale or Barossa Valley are not going to be found. On the palate, flavours of vanilla, blackberry, spice and liquorice allsorts. Excellent length. Aftertaste of white pepper, spice and blackberry supported by a very good acid backbone.
