This wine has been produced from vines planted in the 1950’s.  Opaque black purple colour with black purple hue.  Concentrated nose with lifted aroma of violets, vanilla, blackberry and plum.  The palate fruit flavours are a concentrate of Shiraz inky blackberry and spice.  Long dry tannins which persist into the aftertaste.

Other Reviews….
This big, full-bodied, sensational Shiraz offers hints of licorice, creme de cassis, blackberries, earth, and pepper in its chewy, viscous personality. Clearly the product of old vines (55 years), it possesses huge flavors with the wood component kept in check. Those preferring European-styled reds will want to pass on this monster from South Australia. It will drink well for a decade.
