David O’Leary and Nick Walker are a 20 year in the making ‘overnight success.’ The pair worked for large wine companies for 20 years and between them amassed 300 gold medals and 60 trophies, twice winning the award of ‘International Red Winemaker of the Year.’ Although based in the Clare Valley, the lads do not limit themselves to fruit from this region alone, preferring to build complexity into their wines through multi-regional blending. Opaque black crimson colour with deep crimson purple hue. Lifted nose of vanilla, spice, liquorice, ripe plum, dark cherry and white pepper. The palate reveals flavours of ripe plum, black cherries, blackberry, vanilla and liquorice. Fine grained tannins. Long aftertaste of ripe plum, blackberry and spice.
Cellar 3-4 years (2009-2010)
Alc/Vol: 14.5%

Other Reviews...
Very good colour; medium-full bodied plum, blackberry and chocolate fruits; considerable synergy between the 2 regions; supple mouthfeel, yet you sense the firm structure holding the parts together.
