2004 Mount Camel Ridge Shiraz

This is a refined Shiraz which has some parallels with the kind of elegance shown in the neighbours wines (Vinea Marson).  Bright crimson mauve colour with mauve purple hue.  Aroma of blackberry, cedar and spice followed by a white pepper end note.  The palate has impressive weight and length.  Flavours of plum and spice emerge with white pepper persisting.  Perfectly balanced, with very fine tannin structure.  Aftertaste of spice, plum and blackberry.
