Outstanding colour. Totally opaque purple with black purple hue, showing excellent cling. On the nose aroma of inky black cherry followed by new leather. Generous palate weight, with flavours of leather, earth and morello cherry. Fine grained dry tannins. Long aftertaste of leather, earth and cherry.
Alc/Vol: 13%

First Tasted, October 2005: Fantastic colour – totally opaque black purple with paint like cling – classic Durif colour. The nose reveals hints of vanilla, dark chocolate, spice and morello cherry. The palate is not as voluptuous as the wines of Warrabilla. Flavours of liquorice allsorts, ripe plum and spice, supported by fine dry tannins. Good palate weight, but only moderate length. Aftertaste of ripe plum, liquorice and spice with fine dry tannins persisting.
Cellar 4-5 years (2009-2010)
Alc/Vol: 14.0%
Rating: 91
