This is an unusual blend, consisting of 15% Merlot, 12% Petit Verdot with 73% Tempranillo. The wine has spent 8 months in French and Hungarian oak. Totally opaque black purple colour, with deep purple hue. Interesting nose of blackberry and mulberry followed by a twist of salami. The palate has excellent weight, with cherry, raspberry and spice flavours evident. Very fine dry tannins, perfectly balanced, with long aftertaste of black cherry, liquorice and raspberry. Whilst it is an unusual blend, it works.
