Very deep brick red colour with deep brick red hue. Aroma of liquorice, stewed plum and spice. The palate is predictable, with flavours of liquorice and stewed fruit. Fine dry tannins. Aftertaste of liquorice and stewed fruit.

First tasted, February 2006:
Very deep, almost opaque black crimson colour with deep crimson hue. Aroma of dark chocolate, mocha, spice and ripe plum. Full bodied palate, with flavours of mocha, spice, liquorice and dark chocolate, with a hint of bitter chocolate on the back palate. Soft acidity, with warm spicy back palate. Aftertaste of spice, liquorice and mocha.
